Σύμφωνα με δημοσιεύματα στις ΗΠΑ, ολοκληρώθηκε και το τυπικό μέρος της απόκτησης του Τζέι Αρ Σμιθ από τους Λέικερς για τις αναμετρήσεις στο Ορλάντο

Οι τυπικές λεπτομέρειες που απέμεναν τακτοποιήθηκαν, με αποτέλεσμα οι Λέικερς να προχωρήσουν στην απόκτηση του Τζέι Αρ Σμιθ σύμφωνα με δημοσίευμα του ESPN. Ο 34χρονος γκαρντ ήταν ο επικρατέστερος για να πάρει τη θέση του Έιβερ Μπράντλεϊ ενόψει των αναμετρήσεων στο Ορλάντο για τη συνέχεια του ΝΒΑ και οι διαπραγματεύσεις προχώρησαν πολύ γρήγορα.

Μετά τους Κλίβελαντ Καβαλίερς λοιπόν, ο Σμιθ θα συναντήσει ξανά τον ΛεΜπρον Τζέιμς με στόχος να οδηγήσουν τους Λέικερς όσο ψηλότερα γίνεται.
