Η UEFA άσκησε πειθαρχική δίωξη εναντίον Άρσεναλ και Κολωνίας για τα επεισόδια στο περιθώριο του αγώνα τους για το Europa League στο Λονδίνο. Σε δεινή θέση οι Γερμανοί, τι ανακοίνωσε η αγγλική ομάδα.
Η UEFA κίνησε πειθαρχικές διαδικασίες εναντίον Άρσεναλ και Κολωνίας (3-1), εξαιτίας της έντασης που σημειώθηκε πριν και κατά τη διάρκεια της αναμέτρησης των δύο ομάδων για την πρεμιέρα του 8ου ομίλου του Europa League, που άρχισε με μία ώρα καθυστέρηση.

Η Κολωνία είχε προμηθευτεί 3.000 εισιτήρια από την Άρσεναλ για τις ανάγκες της στον αγώνα, ωστόσο εκτιμάται ότι περίπου 20.000 φίλαθλοι του συλλόγου ταξίδεψαν στο Λονδίνο, η συντριπτική πλειονότητα εκ των οποίων βρέθηκαν έξω από το "Έμιρεϊτς", προσπαθώντας να μπουν στις εξέδρες χωρίς εισιτήριο.
Η Άρσεναλ εξέδωσε ανακοίνωση το πρωί της Παρασκευής, μέσω της οποίας ενημέρωνε ότι προσπάθησε να λάβει τα μέτρα της, διακόπτοντας την πώληση εισιτηρίων έξω από το γήπεδο και μη επιτρέποντας Γερμανούς να μπουν στο γήπεδο με εισιτήρια για εξέδρα των γηπεδούχων.
Παρ' όλα αυτά, παραδέχεται ότι στις εξέδρες των φιλοξενουμένων κατάφεραν να μπουν περισσότεροι από 3.000 φίλαθλοι και ότι υπήρξε "μαύρη αγορά" έξω από το γήπεδο, με συνέπεια να ανοίξει κι η ίδια έρευνα για το πώς κατάφεραν να μπουν οι παραπάνω φίλαθλοι.
