Η Συρία, μια χώρα που είναι σε εμπόλεμη κατάσταση εδώ και μερικά χρόνια, χάρισε το πιο "έντονο" φωτογραφικό στιγμιότυπο την ώρα του τελικού του Παγκοσμίου Κυπέλλου. Για τις δύο ώρες που κράτησε ο αγώνας ανάμεσα στη Γαλλία και την Κροατία, όλα σταμάτησαν.
