Ο Ντάνιελ Αμαρτέι έμαθε για το θάνατο του Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha μόλις βγήκε από το χειρουργείο και με το που έδωσαν άδεια οι γιατροί πήγε να αποτίσει φόρο τιμής στη μνήμη του προέδρου της Λέστερ.

Η είδηση του θανάτου του Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha και των άλλων τεσσάρων επιβαινόντων στη συντριβή του ελικοπτέρου του στο πάρκινγκ του "King Power Stadium", βρίσκει συγκλονισμένη την οικογένεια της Λέστερ.

Τη Δευτέρα όλα τα μέλη της ομάδας πήγαν στο γήπεδο για να αποτίσουν φόρο τιμής στον αδικοχαμένο πρόεδρο, αλλά και στους υπόλοιπους επιβαίνοντες.

Ο μοναδικός που απουσίαζε ήταν ο Ντάνιελ Αμαρτέι, όμως ο 23χρονος απόλυτα δικαιολογημένος. Βλέπετε, ο Γκανέζος στόπερ το Σάββατο έκανε επέμβαση στον αστράγαλο του αριστερού ποδιού και πιθανότατα θα χάσει το υπόλοιπο της σεζόν.

Έτσι, μόλις συνήλθε έμαθε την είδηση για το θάνατο του Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha και όπως ήταν φυσιολογικό σοκαρίστηκε. Την Τρίτη (30/10) όταν οι γιατροί έδωσαν τη συγκατάθεσή τους το πρώτο πράγμα που έκανε ήταν να επισκεφτεί το στάδιο της Λέστερ και να αφήσει και εκείνος ένα λουλούδι στη μνήμη του Ταϊλανδού επιχειρηματία.

Όπως γίνεται εύκολα αντιληπτό ο Αμαρτέι έφτασε "King Power Stadium" με πατερίτσες και το αριστερό πόδι στο γύψο με όλους τους παρευρισκόμενους να τον χειροκροτούν.
