Οι Τιμ Κρουλ και Ρόμπιν Φαν Πέρσι πανηγύρισαν έξαλλα την πρόκριση στους "4" του Μουντιάλ, πριν από δύο χρόνια ωστόσο πρωταγωνίστηκαν σε ιστορικό καυγά της Premier League (φωτογραφίες+video)!
Ο Τιμ Κρουλ ήταν ίσως ο άνθρωπος που σημάδεψε περισσότερο από κάθε άλλον την προημιτελική φάση του Παγκοσμίου Κυπέλλου καθώς έχοντας σχεδόν μηδενική συμμετοχή στο ματς οδήγησε την Ολλανδία στα προημιτελικά.
Και αυτό γιατί πέρασε ως αλλαγή στο 121′ (λίγα δευτερόλεπτα πριν το φινάλε της παράτασης) του αγώνα με την Κόστα Ρίκα και έπιασε δύο πέναλτι στη “ρωσική ρουλέτα”, που ήταν αρκετά για να δώσουν τη νίκη με 4-3 στους “οράνιε”.
Αμέσως μετά το τέλος του αγώνα όλοι οι συμπαίκτες του έγιναν ένα κουβάρι με τον Κρουλ για να γιορτάσουν τη δεύτερη σερί συμμετοχή της Ολλανδίας σε ημιτελικά Παγκοσμίου Κυπέλλου και σε αρκετούς ήρθε στο μυαλό μία κόντρα που είχε παλαιότερα ο Κρουλ με συμπαίκτη του!
Αυτή ήταν στο πλαίσιο του Άρσεναλ-Νιούκαστλ για την Premier League (12/3/2012), με τον γκολκίπερ της Νιούκαστλ να παίρνει μέρος σε έναν επικό καυγά με τον τότε φορ της Άρσεναλ και τώρα της Μάντσεστερ Γιουνάιτεντ, Ρόμπιν Φαν Πέρσι!
Οι δύο συμπατριώτες είχαν μάλιστα φτάσει στο σημείο να πιαστούν στα χέρια, με τους πιο ήρεμους συμπαίκτες τους και τον διαιτητή Χάουαρντ Γουέμπ να καταφέρνουν να τους χωρίζουν χωρίς να υπάρξουν παρατράγουδα…
