Η Λίβερπουλ επικράτησε 5-3 της Τσέλσι και στο αποχαιρετιστήριο παιχνίδι της για τη φετινή σεζόν στο Άνφιλντ σήκωσε την βαρύτιμη κούπα της Premier League στο ιστορικό Kop.
Μπορεί η Λίβερπουλ να έχει κατακτήσει το πρωτάθλημα από τις 25 Ιουνίου, όμως το πραγματικό πάρτι στήθηκε σχεδόν ένα μήνα αργότερα. Συγκεκριμένα, μετά το νικηφόρο αποτέλεσμα με 5-3 των Ρεντς επί της Τσέλσι, στο τελευταίο παιχνίδι της αρμάδας του Κλοπ στο Άνφιλντ τη φετινή σεζόν πραγματοποιήθηκε η επίσημη απονομή.
Σε μία γιορτή διαφορετική από τις άλλες εξαιτίας του COVID-19, με το σπίτι της Λίβερπουλ να είναι σχεδόν άδειο και τους οπαδούς των κόκκινων να συγκεντρώνονται εκτός γηπέδου, οι παίκτες του Κλοπ ανέλαβαν να σηκώσουν το τρόπαιο στον ουρανό του Μέρσεϊσαϊντ.
Τα φώτα έσβησαν και τα φωτορυθμικά σχημάτισαν ένα ωραίο σκηνικό, ενώ οι άνθρωποι που έκαναν την απονομή φορούσαν μάσκα. Στη συνέχεια ο αρχηγός της Λίβερπουλ, Τζόρνταν Χέντερσον, πήρε το τρόπαιο από τα χέρια του Κένι Νταλγκλίς στο Kop και έδωσε το σύνθημα για να ξεκινήσει το πάρτι μεταξύ των παικτών, αλλά και φυσικά του πρωτεργάτη των επιτυχιών, του Γιούργκεν Κλοπ.
