Η Μάντσεστερ Γιουνάιτεντ μπήκε δυνατά στο ντέρμπι με την Τσέλσι και κατάφερε να προηγηθεί στο σκορ με τον Χουάν Μάτα στο 11'.

Ο Ισπανός που έχει τα γενέθλιά του (έγινε 31 ετών), εκμεταλλεύτηκε την ασίστ του εξαιρετικού Λουκ Σο και δεν δυσκολεύτηκε με ωραία κίνηση να γράψει το 1-0:
